 Dear Friends and
Supporters, With the 2010 Snow-Camp France programme behind us,
and the Summer Programmes starting next month, June is the perfect
month to host and launch new events! So that's what we have been doing,
and we have been getting some help from some pretty amazing skiing and
boarding celebs too! Chemmy Alcott presented our Movie Premiere, Graham
Bell hosted our City Drinks event, Warren Smith supported the new
Everest Challenge event and Ed Leigh backed our Snow-Camp Rally 2010! A
big thank you to them all - you can find out more details about all
these guys and the events they support below, and if you want to sign up
to get involved in any of them we would love to hear from you!
Enjoy
this month's update.

Movie Premiere 2010 Chemmy Alcott, the
UK's No. 1 Female Skier recently returned from Vancouver Olympics,
proved a huge hit with the young people as she hosted our Movie Premiere
night at VUE cinemas, Fulham Broadway on 14th June. Chemmy encouraged a
packed cinema of young people who had attended Snow-Camp France to keep
up with their snowsports and shared some of the reasons she loved
skiing - before signing autographs for over half an hour! The film
itself was a huge success, providing many laughs and moving moments and
more importantly managing to capture perfectly the impact of the
programme on the young people who attended. Thanks to the Progress Film
Company for doing such an amazing job. Watch the film for yourself by

City Drinks Fundraising Event Olympic Skier and BBC Presenter
Graham Bell hosted our second annual City Drinks event on 8th June 2010.
The event was attended by over 100 city workers who came to hear about
Snow-Camp's work whilst enjoying a few drinks at the Corney and Barrow
Bar behind St Pauls. Graham gave a short address welcoming everyone and
commending Snow-Camp's work before introducing a short film showing some
of the charity's activities. The auction was generously supported by
Warren Smith, P and V, New Generation, Salomon, Ellis Brigham, Jenny
Jones, Ben Kilner and VOS media amongst others. The Everest
Challenge 2011 (see below) was also launched at this event.

Upcoming Snow-Camp Programmes OK we have still been
doing some real work too! Snow-Camp London's summer courses are filling
up fast so get in touch if you would like to send young people on one
of our "Introduction to Skiing and Snowboarding" 2 day summer
programmes. The Graduate Programme is also close to full - and will
begin in August providing a further 10 days of snowsports development at
the SNO!zone for those really keen young people who really want to push
on with snowsports.
And big news! The first ever Snow-Camp
Excel programme will launch this October, our first ever Skiing and
Snowboarding Instructor course! After a successful bid to Sport
England's Sportsmatch programme we will now be able to train 40 young
people to Level 1 Instructor level - and then take them to Snow-Camp
France to teach their peers to Ski and Snowboard. We are very excited
about this development as it finally means we have a complete route for
any young person attending Snow-Camp activities - from their first ever
attempt at skiing and snowboarding right through to qualifying as an
instructor.
Check out the Snow-Camp website for details of all
our programmes.
