News about Aaron Tipping
- After a great first season in the senior ranks Aaron was looking forward to his second season
until disaster struck in November 2006. With both bones in the lower part of his left leg broken he was unable to ski
for over 12 months and unable to race for a couple of seasons. This season is his first full season of racing since the accident.
- Aaron has found it a hard road back to fitness over the last three years and funds are running short. In order
to maintain high standards British skiers like Aaron have to spend a lot of time travelling and training in the mountains.
- If you or your company would like to help, either financially or in kind he would love to hear from you.

Villars 24 Hours Charity Race - 16/17 January
- Three LSERSA racers, Mikki Thompson, William Thompson and Laurence Willows, took part
in the Villars 24 Hours Charity Race on 16th & 17th January 2010 as part of the Sutton Valence School team.
This is a race where team members must ski continuously over 24 hours.
- The Sutton Valence team
skied 465.6 km over the 24 hour period and came 35th out of 75 teams, a result that they were really pleased with, particularly
since for the five others from the school, Tim Dorning, Nigel Dorning, Ben Sutton, Miles Sutton and Adam Sutton, this was their first experience of ski racing outside the schools race.
In addition the night skiing was not helped by a heavy snowfall which made the course slow going.
-
The objective was to raise money for Disability Snowsport UK and Cancer charities and to date they have raised over £1000 and are still collecting donations.
