ROUND UP OF THE 1999/2000 WINTER SEASON

The winter season kicked off with The BARSC Championships in Lenk over Christmas a nd New Year. Plenty of snow and Swiss hospitality and very successful results for the London and South East Region. There were many podium places for our racers.

The next race was the Schoolgirls in Flaine dominated by Surbiton High which meant even more podium places for us. The Schoolboys took place in Versonnez and once again a high quota of wins.

We then went on to Piztal for The Interschools and British Championships where despite the lateness of Easter the snow was excellent and held up well for the races which was of great benefit for LSERSA's racers.

The final race of the season was The English held in Wengen where surprisingly the snow was still there (it even snowed during the week!) and a few days of sunshine ending the season with yet another brilliant set to podium places for LSERSA.

Congratulations to Jamie Miles (Beckton) who showed his true talent and hard work which has culminated in his earning a nomination for a place on The British Team. WELL DONE JAMIE!

Don't switch off yet or put your feet up as it is now THE PLASTIC SEASON with our first race on Sunday 30th May at Bromley. Let's hope it lives up to its usual reputation of being hot and sunny with lots of entrants attending.
